Turespaña, awarded at the Eficacia Awards for the 'Spain in 10 seconds' campaign

Specifically, it has received the award in the Special Category of Internationality

Turespaña's international advertising campaign 'Spain in 10 seconds' has won Gold in the 2019 Commercial Communication Effectiveness Awards promoted by the Spanish Association of Advertisers. Specifically, it has received the award in the Special Category of Internationality.

The Eficacia Awards assess communication and marketing objectives, creative and media strategies, as well as the results of the campaigns. Campaigns are rewarded as a joint action of the advertiser and the advertising agency, which in the case of Turespaña was Ogilvi.

For the president of Turespaña, Isabel Oliver, “this award is confirmation of the magnificent work carried out by the entire Turespaña team to promote the destination Spain in a different, modern, segmented and more experiential way, in line with what that tourists demand today.”

The 'Spain in 10 seconds' campaign was developed between April and November 2018 in 15 international markets through social networks, and with its own website. It targeted the so-called cosmopolitan segment, characterized by greater spending at destination, frequency of trips and less seasonality than other segments.

The campaign was based on projecting the personal recommendations, experiences and motivations for visiting Spain of thirteen Spanish celebrities through short videos in selfie format.

The participants were: Rafael Nadal; Fernando Alonso; Sergio García; Carolina Marín; Javier Fernández; Agatha Ruiz de la Prada; Elsa Pataki Paz Vega; Juan Mari Arzak; Luis Rojas Marcos; Sara Baras; Tamara Rojo and Plácido Domingo.
