The Spanish Tourism Offices abroad received a diploma from the Royal Academy of Spanish Gastronomy

The Secretary of State for Tourism, Isabel Borrego, accompanied by the general director of Turespaña, Manuel Butler, presented, together with the president of the Royal Spanish Academy of Gastronomy (RAEG), Rafael Ansón, diplomas to all the directors of the Spanish Offices of Tourism Abroad for the work of promoting gastronomic tourism outside our country.

The event took place at the headquarters of the Turespaña pavilion in Fitur. In his speech, Rafael Ansón, in addition to highlighting the role that the Spanish Tourist Offices Abroad have played in the promotion and prestige of Spanish gastronomy, pointed out the convenience of emphasizing the healthy aspect of our Mediterranean cuisine. .

Likewise, he also stressed that the Secretary of State for Tourism had carried out an important prestige campaign for the gastronomic offer that Spain offers to tourists.

The jury of the National Gastronomy Awards was made up of the Boards of Directors of the Royal Academy of Gastronomy and the Brotherhood of Good Table and awarded the award unanimously.

Last November, the Royal Spanish Academy of Gastronomy presented the National Special Gastronomy Award to Spanish Tourism Offices abroad.

The 2011 National Gastronomy Awards were recently awarded, in an event held in Madrid and attended by the Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism, José Manuel Soria, the Secretary of State for Tourism and president of Turespaña, Isabel Sheep.
