Tourism grants a subsidy of 210,000 euros to the Mas Miró Foundation

This financial contribution also contributes to the operation of the former farmhouse of Mont-roig del Camp (Tarragona) frequented by the artist Joan Miró

The Secretary of State for Tourism, Isabel Oliver, and the president of the Mas Miró Foundation, Fran Morancho, have signed the agreement granting a subsidy of 210,000 euros to this organization to contribute to the operation of the old farmhouse of Mont-roig del Camp (Tarragona) frequented by the artist Joan Miró.

This economic collaboration arises from the Collaboration Protocol signed in 2017 between the Secretary of State for Tourism and Miró's heirs for the rights of the Spanish tourist brand, the 'Sol de Miró'.

“With this contribution we intend to consolidate and disseminate our own tourism brand - an internationally recognized iconic image - while providing support to a reference tourism-cultural project, key to understanding the origin of Miró's work,” Isabel Oliver highlighted after the signing.

Subsequently, the Secretary of State participated in the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation of which the Government is a part.
