Madrid, October 16, 2014.- SEGITTUR in collaboration with the International Tourism Fair ( FITUR) announce the second edition of the "The AppTourism Awards" contest for tourist applications on mobile devices, which aims to recognize the importance of apps in travel organization.

The objective of the contest, to which more than 150 applications were submitted in its first edition, is to reward the best apps, both national and international, that help improve the tourist experience at some of the stages of the trip.

The awards are divided into two large categories: best national tourist app and best international tourist app. Each of them is subdivided as follows: between the national category (Destination guide, Sports tourism, nature and adventure, Sun and beach, Cultural and food and wine tourism and Tourist services) and the international category (Destination guide and Services Tourist).

The Apps must be submitted to the “The AppTourism Awards 2015” contest by their developers or the owner of the exploitation right.

Prizes

The award, which will be presented on January 29, 2015 at FITUR, consists of an award that represents the recognition of SEGITTUR, an organization attached to the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, in collaboration with FITUR to the best tourist apps in their different categories.

In the case of national apps, the winners will also be included in the “Spain Collection” app that will collect the best tourist applications for Spain. Likewise, they will be in the app repository of the official tourism portal of Spain.

The jury will be chaired by SEGITTUR and will be made up of professional experts from the technology, tourism, and online marketing sectors. and communication.
