The Secretary of State for Tourism has launched a program of free and open online courses to train professionals in the tourism sector in the application of the Guidelines for the reduction of contagion by SARS-COV-2 coronavirus, the only visas for Health. These courses are framed within the ‘Tourism Hosts’ program.

The first courses available are those aimed at the management of tourist companies, tourist accommodation (includes hostels, rural accommodation, camping sites and hotels), and restaurant services (applicable to restaurants, bars and cafes, buffets and home delivery services).

Likewise, four new courses are in preparation that will shortly be available to the public (applicable to travel agencies, tourist information offices, vehicle and boat rental, golf courses); group management in closed environments (oriented to tourist guides, visits to wineries, industrial tourism, tourist workshops and meeting tourism, museums and tourist attractions that can be visited); outdoor activities (appropriate for protected natural areas, active tourism, tourist guides, beaches, leisure parks, or golf courses) and tourist transport.

The objective of these courses is that the participants learn to know and implement the technical specifications and current regulations for the reduction of contagion by the coronavirus.

All courses include audiovisual content, downloadable study material, useful external references and self-assessment questionnaires. Students who carry out the activities required in the course and pass the self-assessment questionnaire will be able to download a certificate in PDF format.

The Autonomous Communities that so wish may also download the course materials and use them in their own training activities.
