Tourists can now access and book tourist experiences in Spain through the official tourism portal www.spain.info
Tourists visiting Spain can now access and book tourist experiences in our country through the official tourism portal of Spain www.spain .info, always carrying out the transaction with the service provider.
A few months ago, Spain's official tourism portal launched a new version that responds to the needs of new tourists by offering them information, allowing them to consult and share opinions on social networks, and reserve everything they need for their trip: transportation, accommodation and now tourist experiences.
Experiential tourism highlights the resources of a tourist area, giving the traveler the opportunity to get to know the destination in a more experiential and close way, enjoying unique experiences that will make the trip unforgettable. Offering unique, attractive and differentiated experiences is a challenge and an opportunity, as it helps Spain diversify its products, de-seasonalize them and become a much more interesting destination, where tourists will have experiences that will help build loyalty.
The Secretary of State for Tourism, Isabel Borrego, accompanied by the general director of Turespaña, Marta Blanco, and the president of SEGITTUR acronym>, Antonio López de Ávila, stressed during the presentation to the sector of the creation, promotion and commercialization of tourist experiences through www.spain. info, that “travel agencies have a crucial role, since we have worked in collaboration with them to lead the commercialization of tourist experiences.”
Some of the experience providers participated in the presentation, such as Edurne Pasaban, mountaineer and owner of the Kabi Travels agency, who spoke about the active tourism and nature experiences that can be carried out in Spain.
Other providers have presented experiences linked to various themes: thus Francisco Sánchez (El Milano Real) has presented mycological gastronomy and stargazing, Raúl Virosta (Monfragüe Exclusive Experiences) ecotourism and Diego Antoñanza (Madrid and You) others. of urban tourism that allow you to get to know the cities from a very different prism.
Public-private collaboration model
This initiative responds to one of the objectives of the National and Comprehensive Tourism Plan (PNIT) 2012-2015 related to the networks of experience management agencies, offering tourists new products associated with experiences. To achieve this, it has been essential to launch a public-private collaboration model for which professional associations and different product clubs have been involved.
